My granddaughter enjoys crafting with me. She made these two cards when we were together a couple of weeks ago. She is thirteen and is a pure delight. I thought all of you would enjoy seeing them and give Taylor encouragement to keep the ideas coming.

Always a challenge! I love the colors in Becky's Compose a Card this week which include Papertrey Ink Enchanted Evening and Stone with noted embellishments. I just couldn't decide which card to submit so I am putting both for you to see. Here is the summary that Becky included.

Have You Seen the Poppy Seed Challenge?

Hope that you have had a chance to see Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge at her blog Poppy Paperie. She is just beginning to offer a challenge a couple of times per month. The first challenge deadline was by March 4 at 10 a.m. Even if you have not had a chance to post, read her challenge and try for the fun of it. Challenge #1: Include "three seeds". These "seeds" are simply elements in three different categories: color, embellishment and an image element. This week was to include a touch of a soft yellow, a crystal embellishment and a flower stamp. Use your creativity and what you have on hand. I have included two of my creations. I hope that you enjoy!

Spring Is In the Air

I think spring is in the air....at least here in the midwest. We have had about five wonderful days of sunshine, moderating temperatures and the sound of spring birds. I know that we will still have some cold nights and days but the majority of days should continue to reflect spring. Nichole Heady on her blog Nichole Heady.typepad.com has offered a challenge to her Design Team and other followers using different palettes of spring colors. I have chosen to include a project using her colors.

I have used the colors to create a watering can with spring blooms. My inspiration came from the cover of the March 2010 edition of Midwest Living. Although I did not have a tulip stamp, I thought that a mixture of spring flowers would do. I am including a photo of my inspiration and then my card. Truly, the them is "Celebrate Spring". Let me know what you think.
