Blog Hop December 2009

What can be more fun than to create a Home Made holiday treasure? I had such great fun with the Home Made template from s My Timeless Templates. When I downloaded the template for these houses, I knew that they would be fun. Each house developed is own personality. After I had finished about eight of them, I thought these could make a cute village. Then, I thought, wow, these could be a part of my husband's train layout. He recently expanded the layout and there were some undeveloped areas. That is when Papertrey Village was annexed into one corner of the town. I had so much fun creating a small village with houses with different colors, doors and windows from the "Home Made" stamp set. I love how versatile Papertrey Ink stamps sets are! I was able to use images from the two past holiday seasons to adorn my new houses! The wreaths on the door are from Believe set and the small bow with greenery, as well as, the interior Christmas tree were from Home For the Holidays set! What fun to blend the colorful papers and inks to make each house a home! I love the texture that the pine branch punch from Martha Stewart added. It adds such dimension...really worth the effort to find it after Nichole had it on her blog.
