Challenge: Compose a Card 9

Have you tried to do a wonderful Compose a Card Challenge from Becky Oehlers. This week you can use any colors and just follow the cutting parameters. The key ingredient in this recipe is "have fun". Her recipe is included here.

Hope you like my creation which is a wedding card that incorporates the homespun look of a quilt and includes a sentiment on the inside, "Marriage is the union of two souls stitched together for a lifetime of love".

WOW! Look at Me!

I am so excited!!!! I could hardly believe it when I read that I was one of the top 3 in the Compose a Card Challenge 8! Becky is such a talented artist in so many ways...singing, stamp design, creating clever products and a wonderful mom. I have great respect for her abilities and her whimsical and fun spirit. Thanks again to all who left comments! I am truly so excited and so very humbled. Now off to work on Compose a Card 9.

Challenge: Compose a Card 8

Time is flying! Spring has sprung in our area of the country and I have spent some great days watching the wildflowers, ferns and trees grow. We had a wonderful Easter with our family. Now it is time to get on with the Challenge: Compose a Card 8 from Becky Oehlers. Join in on the fun, and listen to the tune while you create. Such a great inspiration and what fun to stretch our limits with new colors, textures and designs. Below is her recipe for the challenge:

Now for my creations that I will share with you. The first one shows a cheerful little bird who wants to sing encouragement from the circle of the card. I thought that I would give you a close-up of the bird to see his cute wings.

After I began working on this challenge, I came up with two possibilities. Please feel free to view and let me know which are you like the best. Thanks!
